Uğurcan Özçamur

Uğurcan Özçamur has completed his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering in METU in 2012. In 2014, he has graduated from MEEES, having a structural earthquake engineer Masters degree from METU and IUSS Pavia. He is still continuing his advance studies in METU as PhD Candidate in seismic base isolation field. He has published 2 academic paper in SCI recognized journals. He has also submitted and presented 8 papers in international conferences in his field. Uğurcan has been working in TIS, which is the only company in Turkey that provides turn-key services in friction pendulum type base isolation device and various structural bearings supply, since 2014. Being in the company from the beginning, he has experienced technology, design, certification and application aspects of the industry, thoroughly. Currently, he is the General Manager of TIS as the main decision-maker and coordinator of the company. Uğurcan is the active member in Turkish Association of Seismic Isolation (TASI), ASSISSI and Turkey IMSAD. He is actively participating in the technical boards of standards committees of EN15129, too.
