Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet

"Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet was born in Çerkezköy in 1982. She graduated from Kocaeli University Faculty of Law in 2004. She is currently studying for her Master’s degree in Private Law at Kocaeli University Institute of Social Sciences. She worked as a self-employed lawyer under the Kocaeli Bar Association, and the chair of the Kocaeli Provincial Women's Branch. She also worked as the chair of the Kocaeli Izmit District and served in the Kocaeli Izmit District Labor Commission. She was a member of the Kocaeli Izmit Organizing Commission. She served as a neighborhood representative. She was elected as MP for Kocaeli on June 7, 2015, and became a member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Committee on Equality of Opportunity for Women and Men of the 25th parliament. She was re-elected as MP for Kocaeli on November 1, 2015. She was elected as a Secretary Member for the Presidential Council of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, and became a member of the Constitutional Commission of the 26th parliament. She was re-elected as a Secretary Member for the Presidential Council of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye of the 27th parliament. Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet is a member of various associations and NGOs. She is fluent in English, and married with a child. "
