Dries Meers

Dries Meers graduated from a joint program in social geography of KU Leuven and Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2011. After obtaining his master’s degree, Dries became researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel where he worked on topics related to multimodal freight transport and sustainable logistics. In 2016, he received a PhD in applied economics with his thesis entitled: ‘From mental tot modal shift - Decision support for intermodal transport’. Since 2017, Dries is working for the mobility department of the city of Ghent, where his focus lies mainly on data analysis and the evaluation of mobility measures such as mobility plans, speed reduction measures, data collection methods…
