Istanbul, a megacity with significant regional, national, and international importance and role, as well as the Marmara Region, will be evaluated on a sectoral basis. The sectoral risks and opportunities the Marmara Region holds will be discussed, based on the ways Istanbul affects and transforms the region as a megacity. The discussions will also include the interaction between the Marmara Region and other regions of Türkiye, and how it can contribute to the transformation of Türkiye as a whole.
