Opening Session | Resilience and Beyond

04 Oct 2023 09:30 - 11:00 @ Auditorium

#Environment #LocalDevelopment #Resilience #Leadership

Recent economic crises, conflicts and disasters -including two major earthquakes that have hit Türkiye this year- have once again proven the importance of building resilient cities. Cities are the places that are mostly exposed to such shocks and they witness extraordinary economic, social and environmental impacts more than ever. At this session, valuable sharing of distinguished speakers’ knowledge and experiences would be a critical addition to the discussion on building resilience in today’s cities by touching upon the importance of local development, the impact of urban leadership and the role of international solidarity and cooperation.
